Category: Uncategorized

The National Trust for Scotland (NTS) is delighted to announce a brand-new series of group experiences at one of its most popular visitor attractions.  Recognised as one of Robert Adam’s masterpieces, this majestic 18th-century castle is perched high above the Ayrshire cliffs with stunning views over the Firth of Clyde. Perfectly poised to celebrate VisitScotland’s 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design, these new tours are designed to ‘unpack’ the fascinating history and legends surrounding Culzean Castle and the people who lived there.

Pietro Cecchini, Head of Travel Trade, said: ‘Our latest guided tours have been created by Culzean’s expert team, exclusively for the group market. Visitors can come face to face with the past when they meet a ‘marquess’ (or possibly the ‘butler’!), delve into the stories of the Kennedy family, enjoy a special cookery demo in our ‘Upstairs, Downstairs’ event, and marvel at Robert Adam’s genius (including the magnificent Oval Staircase) on our celebratory Enlightenment Tour.’

Situated in an extensive country park, Culzean Castle has excellent group facilities including a licensed restaurant, retail outlets (tax-free shopping), a visitor centre, waymarked woodland walks and magnificent landscaped gardens.

Trade partners can contact the Travel Trade team at NTS for more information about Culzean Castle tours, 2016 group rates and itinerary planning. The team will be exhibiting at VisitScotland expo, Stand K19.
